Scalable National Marketing System for a Volunteer-Driven Sports Organization
A DISTRIBUTED BRAND TOOLKIT TO HELP LOCAL CLUBS PROMOTE MEMBERSHIP AND ATTRACT SPONSORS WITHOUT NEEDING MARKETING EXPERTISE.
The Challenge
Local clubs needed to promote membership and sponsorships, but had no marketing staff and inconsistent materials.
The Risk
Fragmented messaging weakened credibility and limited growth.
The Goal
Give every club the ability to market professionally without central oversight.
Building Community... one Club at a Time
Local clubs suddenly had the ability to promote themselves without waiting on national support.
Each club received ready-to-use marketing tools: social posts, signage, sponsorship materials, presentations, and more, all editable in Canva and customizable in minutes.
Instead of asking how to market their club, they could immediately start doing it.
For the national organization, that meant consistency across hundreds of teams
without becoming a production bottleneck.
We also developed a marketing playbook that guided clubs on audience targeting, promotion strategies, and finding organic sponsorship partners, turning marketing from guesswork into a repeatable process.
Let's put the play in playful!
Our branding solution for the USGAA embodies all of the sentiments this national campaign is about: teamwork, camaraderie, health and wellness, community, and FUN. And the tagline brings it all home..."Fun, Friends, Fitness."
These elements and concepts were reinforced across all marketing outlets, from printed pieces to event signage, to social posts and sponsorship decks. Guidance and brand system directives were setup as a brand kit on each club's Canva account to make branding materials accessible and bring layouts to life!
“Barbour Design was instrumental to the success of the USGAA Let’s Play Campaign. Their creative thinking, professional execution, and disciplined project management helped us deliver a high-impact campaign on schedule and within budget. They operate like true strategic partners, not just vendors.”
